RoH Outreach – Sabe Village
From September 2008 – May 2011 Restoration of Hope was involved in Sabe village – a settlement for internally displaced people and refugees. In 2009 Restoration of Hope distributed food, clothes and medical aid during and after severe flooding which decimated the village. We also provided clean water to the 1500 residents for almost 2 years and set up the Adonai centre, an early years school for 70 children who had no opportunity to go to regular schools. Restoration of Hope staff and young people were involved in outreaches into the Sabe community as well as practical demonstrations of the love of God – free hair cuts, drumming workshops, food distributions etc. Although the village at Sabe has now been disbanded, RoH continues to be involved with the Sabe residents and is working to help them build new homes in the area where they have been resettled.
